These Goodmans Mezzo 3 loudspeakers are in really good condition given their age. They have just come down from my loft where they have been ‘resting’ for 11 years. However, having spent the last two days listening to them linked to my Naim electronics I don't really want to part with them, but needs must. I am doing a clear out. There are a few minor scratches but no serious dings or chips which will not cover with a bit of polish. The fabric grille is also in amazingly good condition. Dimensions are approximately 503 x 310 x 235mm. Weight of each speaker is approximately 11kg. Nominal impedance is 4-8ohms Rated power is 30watts. Approximate age 1973. They are best used on stands. Probably best used with spikes. Spike marks are evident on the base. Stands are not supplied here. The Mezzo 3 is a Vented speaker box with two drive units including a KEF T27 6535 with a dome radiator DT2 and a KEF DN13 SP1017 crossover. Vintage Goodmans Mezzo 3 are not easy to find now. The sound quality from Mezzo 3 is astounding. The bass is amazing and as might be expected from the KEF T27 6535 the top range is sweet and accurate. Don’t be mislead by their age. These are seriously good speakers like many other vintage KEF-based speakers from the 1970s. The Mezzo 3s most definitely constitute a high fidelity loudspeaker system as claimed on the Goodman's sticker on the rear of each speaker unit. Any questions please ask.
